|Why a truck driving school?
Disappointed with the quality of drivers other driving schools were letting loose on the highways, Bradway Trucking decided to do something about it and began operating a commercial driving school. This 4 week program is designed not only to prepare students to pass the NJ DMV required written and road test necessary to obtain the CDL-A license, but to prepare them to be truck drivers. Unlike other driving schools, students are afforded the opportunity to learn in a realistic trucking environment.
The initial lessons involve training at Bradway’s simulated driving course in a safe and isolated environment while the latter part of the course utilizes Bradway’s seven-acre trucking terminal and engages students in real road practice. Students take short trips which involve picking up and delivering actual loads with gross vehicle weights of up to 80,000 lbs to customers in such places as NYC/North Jersey Metro and the rolling hills of Pennsylvania.
Master the skills
Experienced instructors in the field put students through their paces on Bradway’s 3/10- mile course which simulates actual traffic situations ─ teaching them such skills as tight right and left turns, up and down shifting and maneuvering a 48-53 foot trailer around corners and between other vehicles ─ skills they will need to work in the industry. Once proficient at basic backing skills, students practice genuine dock backing between trailers with actual traffic that is associated with a truck terminal.
Along with a desire to embark on a challenging and rewarding new career, there are several prerequisites for enrollment in Bradway’s commercial truck driving school. One must be at least 21 years of age and able to read, write and comprehend English. Students must possess a valid automobile license with an acceptable abstract and pass the D.O.T. physical and drug test.
As of 2011, the school has graduated 1,350 students who are in high demand. Don’t waste valuable resources at a driving school that won’t deliver, contact: 1-888-333-7443 for further information about funding and class schedules.
